Ok so I know this is probably stupid to some of you, but I really need some help figuring out what to do with my hair. My hair is long now and I always have it pulled back in a pony tail because Jesse hates it in his face and I never have time to do my hair because it never looks right without a blow dry and flat iron run through it then I always end up pulling it back in a pony tail eventually anyway. I am also getting migraines a lot and can't figure out why. It could be my hair weighing to much or stress, sinuses, etc. My hubby loves long hair so I don't know if I really want to cut it, I know he would tell me to do whatever I want, but of course I want to have my hair a way he'll like it. So what I need from you is to look at these 2 pics and tell me what you think. Is it better long or short. The short hair pic was taken before Jesse so I was much thinner. That's another thing I'm worried about, what if I look horrible with short hair now that I'm heavier. Anyway, what do you think? Please leave a comment telling me long or short. Then if I decide to cut it I'll post pics after I get it done. Thanks in advance. Now here's the pics.

I like it long, plus, short hair will round out your face, and if you're worried about looking heavier, it will make you look heavier. I think you should keep it long. Jus trim it, maybe add layers, that will keep it more managable.
I used to have long hair, and now it's short...I first cut it to my shoulders and got layers, then as I felt more comfortable I chopped it bit by bit. I don't think you should go from really long to short right away. Ease into it! :) Good luck and let us know how it goes!
I would say cut it, because
1) it probably is causing your headaches
2) little fingers like to pull hair
3) you're pregnant and will probably irritate you
But you don't have to cut it as short. You could always do shoulder length
Stephanie, Not pregnant yet, but with any luck will be in about 3 or 4 months.
Thanks to everyone for your input.
Hey Erin :)
You ultimately have to decide what you want to do with your hair, but I have found that if I tie mine back the way you do, in a ponytail, tight to my head or in a bun I end up with headaches too. So I have done either braids (loose, not tight)or a looser ponytail and that seemed to help a lot. Besides I think more can be done with long hair than short, and if you remember I had mine short at different lengths until I started letting it grow out in '00.
I think you do have a point though with the length and your face.
One thing you can do is go to a hair stylist and look through their books to get some ideas, or even magazines. You might find a good compromizing cut that will flatter your face while still being able to keep it out of the way.
Love ya,
Mom
p.s. Give punky poo a big slobbery kiss for me :)
You know, I cut my hair back in December and Andy doesn't really like short hair either, but I love it. It's so much eaiser to manage, and I can do my hair super quick, yet it always looks cute.
I am heavier too after having 4 kids, but the style I have doesn't make my face look any heavier. In fact I think it makes it look thinner. I can try to get a good picture if you want and send it to you.
I also dyed it and I'm no longer blonde. It's a dark brown.
Good luck!!
I vote both or neither ... :-) There are lots of styles that are long, but still give you some shape around your face. Look through some books.
Your hair is really long. You could cut of a lot of it and still have long hair. But when it's a little shorter and shaped up, it will perk you up. Plus it may help with those headaches.
And you can still leave enough to pull back in a pony, which I think is exceedingly important! :-)
Good luck!
